How to Gargle with the Betadine® Christmas Carollers
Published July 12, 2013
Gargling to ease a sore throat may seem like an easy concept to grasp but are you doing it correctly? Follow the steps below to gargle like a superstar.
- Stand in front of a sink with your Betadine Sore Throat gargle at the ready. If you are using Betadine Concentrated Sore Throat Gargle remember to dilute it in water first (1mL Betadine to 20mL water). No need to dilute Betadine Ready to Use Sore Throat Gargle (hence the name!). Use the measure cup provided to ensure an accurate dosage.
- Tip the contents into your mouth, tilt your head back, let the solution settle at the back of your throat, make a guttural ‘ahhhh’ noise so the liquid bubbles and churns around your mouth and throat. Try to keep this up for 30 seconds. With practise you should be able to gargle your favourite tune.
- Bring your head back down and spit the contents out and into the sink. Repeat every 3-4 hours if necessary. It is important to remember not to swallow Betadine Sore Throat gargle and use the product only as directed. If symptoms persist please speak with your doctor or general practitioner for further advice.
Always read the label. Follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.
