For the treatment of cold sores.
Povidone-Iodine
Apply Betadine Cold Sore Ointment liberally to the affected areas at least 4 times daily.
If redness, irritation, swelling or pain persists, discontinue use and consult doctor. Do not use if hypersensitive to iodine. Avoid application over large skin areas. Use during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding only if prescribed by a doctor. Do not use in infants under 6 months of age. For external use only.
